Review: The Perfect Illusion – Winter Renshaw

The Perfect Illusion is the story of two opposites who, by a twist of fate, ends up with a secret they both had to keep at all costs, one that could potentially change their lives forever.

Hudson and Mari come from opposite sides of the spectrum. No two other people could be as opposite as they are if they tried. Though their opinions and thoughts could be as different as night and day, a business agreement in the form of a fake engagement enters the picture, which forces both Hudson and Mari to be in close proximity to each other, and the chemistry they’ve felt from the start explodes.

What Hudson doesn’t know is that Mari herself has a secret, one that could blow up in their faces at any given time.
The question is, will this secret of hers break this camaraderie and the relationship these two have built or will they learnfrom past mistakes and learn to accept?
Winter Renshaw has woven an intricate but humorous story of two people who has been at each other’s throats since day one, but who’s dedication to what they need and want far exceeds their hatred for each other. Add meddlesome exes and a vacation in the Hamptons and you end up with an engaging and funny romantic story that will keep you engaged and entertained as you ride it through with them.

I enejoyed reading The Perfect Illusion. It is funny, engaging, and surprising at times with plot twists that will keep you turning each page to find out how these two survive all that’s thrown their way.

I wish it had a bit more angst thrown in but all in all, I really liked their story.
